"To achieve a sustainable society we have to move towards a zero waste society. This will require combining community responsibility at the back end of the problem with industrial responsibility at the front end . . . Thus the lowly world of trash gives the ordinary citizen a handle on a vital step towards sustainability, while creativity in industrial design becomes the ultimate challenge for our society." -- Paul Connett
